Description

Despite his appearance in the episode, Henry does not appear in the nameboard sequence at the end of the episode in the Japanese dub. In the restored version, when Gordon is approaching Percy, Percy's eye movement is different compared to the original version. This was the last VHS released by Festival Records and CEL Home Video in Australia and New Zealand, respectively. When the narrator says "Gordon was very cross," there are bushes beside Gordon instead of the yard and sheds. The DVD was originally released exclusively as part of the Best of Collection DVD boxset in October 2003. It later was given an individual release in February 2004.

Get ready for loads of singing and laughter as ABC for Kids beats out the best of children's entertainment in an hour and a half bonanza of belly-laughs. All aboard for loads of fun and mischief with Thomas and his friends on the Island of Sodor in this amazing collection of sixteen favourite episodes. Edward, Gordon and Henry - Disaster strikes Gordon so Edward tries to help. But in the end Henry comes to the rescue. Percy passes through Wellsworth long before the narrator says he does. This is because, in the original book, the near-collision happened at Knapford rather than Wellsworth. On 9 October 1984 before the Children’s ITV debut at 4.00pm, the first two episodes aired at 12.00 midday before the Lunchtime News.

Gordon is waiting outside platform 2 for his coaches, but when Thomas puffs in, Gordon and his coaches are outside platforms 3 and 4. Watch out! They are coming through. Thomas, the little blue engine and his friends are off on eight more exciting adventures with their friend and storyteller Ringo Starr. For an engine, being late can leads to lots of trouble. A broken break van causes a bit of bother and it takes a "Deputation" to save the day. Thomas discovers that doing away with his driver can have disastrous results. A change can sometimes be worse than a holiday and there is nothing more annoying than a certain fuss pot diesel who won't do her fair share of the work. Some engines can always keep on the rails but what happens when the rails are the wrong ones? The Deputation - When Donald and Douglas come to Henry's rescue, the other engines give the twins their full support. Whistles and Sneezes and Tender Engines actually have Henry as the main character. However, Gordon is a supporting character in both episodes. Some copies of the "Best of Gordon Songs" cassette tape has a label error that reads "Thomas Gets Bumped Songs."

Share these exciting adventures with Thomas and his friends, Gordon, Henry, James, Percy, Edward, Toby, Annie and Clarabel the coaches, and of course, the Fat Controller. Thomas's special friend, storyteller Ringo Starr, says "Thomas is a smashing little engine - he's Number One and never lets anyone forget it!" Some copies of the 1987 Screen Legends release do not feature a logo on the start of the tape, whilst others have a still of the logo remaining before the end of the tape. According to an interview with Mike O'Donnell, it took him and Junior Campbell at least a week to create the music for this episode. On average, it would take a week to create music for three episodes, but they found this task particularly hard as this was the first episode of the fifth series. [1] Gordon and the Gremlin comes before A Better View for Gordon, meaning that audiences may not know about Gordon's view at Kirk Ronan. James and the Coaches - James bangs the coaches by being too rough, and brings the train to a stop. The passengers get home only after a piece of ingenious repair work by the guard.Thomas is a blue tank engine who works at a big station called Knapford on an island called Sodor. His job is to fetch coaches for the other engines and then take them away the engines are done pulling them and when the passengers get out. Thomas thinks he works the hardest and is often very cheeky to the bigger engines, especially a big and proud engine named Gordon who pulls the Express. Thomas likes to startle him rudely by teasing him with his loud whistle. On 9 October 1984 before the Children’s ITV debut at 4.00pm, this episode aired with Thomas and Gordon at 12.00 midday before the Lunchtime News. Part of his boiler is raised due to the middle section not being reassembled properly before shooting. He's Gordon, the fastest and most powerful engine on the Island of Sodor. For the first time on DVD you can share in all his splendor with this exciting collection of stories, special features and trainloads of educational fun. This marks the last time Percy speaks in the series premiere until the eighth series premiere episode, although he does not speak until near the end of the episode.
