Description

Emollients are best applied after washing your hands, taking a bath or showering because this is when the skin most needs moisture. If you're using a steroid cream or another treatment for your skin condition, wait 20 to 30 minutes between using an emollient and using the other treatment. Ask a doctor which one to use first. liquid paraffin 40% w/w, white soft paraffin 30% w/w, cetearyl alcohol and polysorbate 60. Indications: Use a clean spoon or spatula to remove emollients from a pot or tub. This reduces the risk of infections from contaminated pots. Risk of slipping

It's especially important to regularly apply an emollient to your hands and face, as they're exposed to the elements more than any other part of your body. As an emollient: Children under 1: Seek HCP advice before use. Adults and children: Apply to the affected area of skin as required. How to get emollients

Be careful not to slip when using emollients in a bath or shower, or on a tiled floor. Protect the floor with a non-slip mat, towel or sheet. Wear protective gloves, wash your bath or shower afterwards with hot water and washing-up liquid, then dry with a kitchen towel. Skin irritation from aqueous cream Your doctor or pharmacist will talk to you about which type of emollient will work best for your skin condition. Children under 1: Seek HCP advice before use. Adults: Add 15-20ml to a standard bath of warm water (8 inches deep). Immerse and cover the affected areas with the bath water and soak for 10-20 minutes. Pat dry with a towel. Infants and children: Add 5-10ml to a small bath or wash basin of water. Immerse and cover the affected areas with the bath water and soak for 10-20 minutes. Alternatively, repeatedly sponge over the affected areas. Pat dry with a towel. Use as often as required. Date of preparation:

For external use only Purified Water, White Soft Paraffin 14.5% w/w, Liquid Paraffin 12.6% w/w, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Monostearate, Sodium Cetostearyl Sulfate, Lanolin, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Methyl Hydroxybenzoate, Sodium Propyl Hydroxybenzoate, BHT. Indications:

Adults and the elderly: Apply pea sized amounts to clean and dry skin, gently spreading the cream evenly to form a thin protective barrier to cover the affected area. Children: Seek HCP advice before use. Date of preparation: Rarely, mild allergic reactions such as a skin rash may occur. If you notice any side effects; or your skin condition worsens, stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist. They will tell you what to do.
