As we settle into a new year, getting organised for 2023 may be top of your wish list – and putting pen to paper in a traditional diary is the on-trend way to get planning. But that couldn't be further from the truth, according to stationery brand Papier, which says the traditional paper diary is a chic accessory everyone is buying this year. In an increasingly digital world you may expect that the use of note tools, apps and online calendars to have made carrying a paper diary redundant.

Putting pen to paper is a great way to disconnect from the digital world and switch off," says Papier CEO Taymoor Atighetchi. "Despite being digitally native, Gen Z are looking for alternatives to the digital tools which dominate much of their lives. While they may use digital calendars in their work lives, we have a growing number of customers opting for the more traditional physical diary for personal goals, lists and plans.”
