Description

If you are using an Alarm Controller Ei450 this will continue for as long as you hold down the ‘Test’ button.

Designed for use with the Easi Fit range of alarms and its fully compatible with any Ei160 or Ei140;series alarms. - It is from here that the radio signals are transmitted and received. Once all the alarms have been installed the RadioLINK system is secured by a special House Coding function to safeguard the system from interference from other RF systems. The Ei168RC allows for easy expansion of an existing hard-wired interconnected system. The 3000, Ei2110e and 160e Series alarms all use modules to connect alarms with each other wirelessly using radio frequency signals. You will know when you need to change the battery, as you will hear a single regular beep (low battery warning) coming from the alarm, however it is recommended that you change the battery every year. The red indicator on the alarm attached to the Ei168 Base will flash rapidly to show an alarm condition for the smoke detector Battery Powered Carbon Monoxide Alarms – The Ei208 and Ei208W alarms contain a sealed in 10-year life lithium cell and have built-in AudioLINK data extraction technology. The Ei208 is a standalone unit, whilst the Ei208W is upgradeable to RadioLINK+ with a Ei200MRF module. Also available in this range is the Ei208WRF with built-in RadioLINK+. If RadioLINK+ is used, ensure the alarms have been House Coded together correctly. They may have been connected to a nearby system. Reset and House Code again. Insert a small flat headed screwdriver into the slot, and at the same time, slide the head of the alarm away from the screwdriver. The product is CE marked to indicate conformance to BS EN 60065:1998 (Electrical Safety), EN300220-1 V1.3.1 (2000-09) (RF Performance), EN301489 V1.4.1 (2002 08) (EMC) and has been 3rd party tested for electrical safety in accordance with Annex K of BS 5446: Pt.1:2000.

Step 8 – The blue LEDs on all units will now stop flashing and the entire system will automatically ‘seal’. If the alarms are sounding, there may be a fire present. You should evacuate the property and be absolutely sure there is no fire before returning. If in doubt, always assume there is a real fire present and take the necessary action. Step 5 – Repeat the House Code process in Steps 1-4 above with all the bases or alarms in your system. A RadioLINK Manual Call Point, Ei407 and remote control switches Ei450, Ei412 and Ei411H are also available for use in the system. See separate specification sheet(s) for further information. If the alarm contains AudioLINK – Once the alarm has stopped activating and it is safe to enter the property extract a report to identify the details of the incident. If you have more than one alarm in the property and they are interconnected, this will also trigger all the other alarms in the property. If it is a regular single beep (approximately once every minute), then the battery may be running low, and you may need to change the battery in the alarm. This is relevant for the 140RC Series alarms.
