About this deal

Very good product , i use these for all our hoarding projects. Very good customer service, very helpful and Professional. Recommended.

We needed some screw caps to match some pre-finished timber products. With their help on the phone we found the closest match to our RAL code and when received they were perfect. The customer service saved us a lot of time and hassle and saved us buying several colours which wouldn't have been needed. many thanks Rather than making a cap (like everyone else) that doesn't work, Pro-Dec set about a radical re-design: The fixings you are using are too large for the Washer. This prevents the Washer from flexing as the Cap is being pushed on. Most 'star' caps rely on an interference (or friction) between the sides of the driver recess and the 4 'wings' of the stem of the cap. This guarantees a good grip in both Phillips and Pozidriv screws, even when screws are out-of-tolerance, burred and damaged. In fact, this makes Bifix the best ‘Pozi’ cap available – part of the reason Bifix is the only ‘Pozi’ cap to be granted a patent in the UK. It all has to do with how gases and water vapour behave in enclosed spaces, and is governed by a few Laws of Physics, such as Boyle’s, Charles’, Dalton’s & Henry’s. In essence, once water enters a space (because it is not sealed properly) instead of the water evaporating out again later, it becomes water vapour and remains in the space for a much longer time.

Great to see such amazing customer service in a society where this has become increasingly rare. Fantastic product too - they seemed to be the only company that I could find with ease online, that offered Bifix Poxi Caps with a colour-match option. Can't recommend highly enough. The Crown: Bifix caps utilise the same low-profile crown used on Stemfix caps. This means the cap is less noticeable and importantly, when the cupboard is being washed or wiped clean that cloths won't snag on the edges of the caps. Fitting the Cap to the Washer may require more force. It may also result in a white 'stress' ring forming around the perimeter of the cap. The white ring may disappear over time, especially if the caps are warmed up. Excellent, good quality product, which are so easy to use and really finish the job off nicely. Excellent service always provided, the caps always arrive next day with out fail. This only works if the screw’s drive recess is close to tolerance. In practice, on a #8 countersunk screw, tolerances can vary by 20% (even more on some imported screws), so normal ‘Pozi’ caps will (more often than not) be too loose or too tight. The Pro-Dec Solution Great product with a wide colour range and good size options, fast delivery, great price and very helpful customer service, would definately recommend giving them a try. The staff was very helpful and efficient The snap caps were used to cover the screws which hold the toilet down and were just what was required. Excellent job

The range of colours and quality of the snap caps is only bettered by the service offered by the team. A great product and next day delivery every time. We are very happy with the service from Screw caps UK. In a climate such as the UK’s, this means the screw-head is continually in water & oxygen environment, never getting to dry out properly. This can cause the fastener to corrode (rust) up to 20 times faster than if a cap had NOT been used! This was a great fast service.Staff were helpful to match up the coulours with our sinage. Lots of choose. The Stem: Bifix caps have a patented stem, incorporating 16 tiny wings, or splines. When aligned properly in the screw-head, the splines push against each other, and against the walls of the central (circular) part of the drive recess, rather like tiny springs. You are not using the correct technique to fit the Cap to the Washer. Because Snap-Caps are designed and moulded to very fine tolerances, the caps cannot be pushed on "flat". Do NOT hit Caps with a hammer (or similar) - it will cause the Caps to split Nobody wants to look at screw heads on their new sign so these provide the finishing touch leaving a professional looking installation. Fantastic range of colours to suit most jobs. Great customer service and speedy turn around. The Snap-Cap washer is available to suit either Countersunk screws, or for any of the ‘Flat-Bottom’ fixings (such as pan-head screws). Using the correct washer type will support your fixing properly, giving improved clamping performance and prevent the screw distorting the washer - crucial to why genuine Snap-Caps are the ONLY cover caps that COMPLETELY seal the head of the fixing. How to use Snap-Caps Trying to find good colour matches to boards is always a head ache, ring Screwcaps UK give them the board code and the problem is solved, great service thanks keith Ensure you are using the correct Washer type for the head of the fixing - you MUST use a CSK Washer with Countersunk-head fixings, and F/B Washer for all "flat-bottomed" fixings such as pan-heads, flange-heads etc.

While all care possible has been taken in tabling this data, we accept no liability for any inaccuracies, omissions or currency of information contained herein.I have had no complaints with the Snap caps brought so far ( and that has been a few thousand). The price is good and delivery always on time with a friendly and prompt service. Goods received in next days post and sales staff were helpful and friendly. Would use this company again. Ensure you are using the correct-sized Snap-Cap for the fixing. Some imported fixings may not conform to British or EU standards, and the heads of the fixings may be up to 40% oversized
