About this deal

Every Cryptek conclave specialises in a particular field of techno-sorcery in one of a hundred thousand disciplines. These conclaves were originally founded to share information and expertise amongst Necron settlements from one end of the galaxy to the other, but have since become fragmented and isolated. Sempiternal Weave- An INFANTRY NOBLE (so literally Overlords or Lords, booooooo) gets +1 T and +1 W. A decent defensive upgrade, but limited on who can take it so it’s probably a not a go to choice. Eternal Conquerors- The Nihlakh “ObSec on everything” Trait, and yeah, it’s really good. Reealllllllyyyy good . Whether it’s fast cheap chaff like Scarabs now suddenly yanking Objectives away from units, or a single Doomsday Ark holding an objective against a unit of 10 Vanguard Veterans, there is always a use for this. 9th is generally won on the Objectives and having an army wide benefit to scoring the Primary gives you a great advantage. Unfortunately, it’s that good you might not even look at the other custom traits. Phase Shifter [3 EP] (1 Per Team) – Gives your Cryptek a 4+ invulnerable save. Helpful for keeping them around, and likely to be something you take given how important they are to your team. Curse of the Phaeron- A VEHICLE automatically explodes. A useful tool to have if an opponent has sent melee to deal with your tanks, or to take the last wound off a Character with your Barge. Costs 3 CP on TITANIC units due to their larger, more powerful explosions. But you know who also has a 2D6” range, D6 Mortal Wound Explosion? The Silent King. And he’s not TITANIC . So woe betide anyone that kills him in combat.

Sentient Necrodermis – Get a 3+ Sv, same as the Void Dragon. Simple and handy vs lots of AP0 weapons, but not the best one to roll up, and likely not one you’d be choosing. This can prove politically dangerous for the Overlord, as this essentially elevates the Cryptek to the same rank as the Necron Lords already serving within his dynasty, and so inevitably fosters resentment amongst his regal subordinates. Pitiless Hunters- Your INFANTRY units can fire their Rapid Fire weapons twice if they don’t move, in addition to half range. It’s fine, but similar to the Sautekh one your access to Rapid FIre weapons is actually fairly low. Whilst standing still and firing twice at 30” with Blaster Immortals is an appealing idea, you’re just giving up board control to do so. Dimensional Corridor- A CORE INFANTRY unit gets to redeploy within 3” of a MONOLITH , 9” away from enemy units. It’s a decent ability to get out of dodge or support a beleaguered Monolith. The issue is you need to take a Monolith… Psychomancer (Harbingers of Despair): Masters of influencing the organic mind and psychological warfare. With their Abyssal Staves they can spread madness among enemy ranks. They are also capable of causing dread in their enemies and of dematerialising and rematerialising their comrades. [2a]Alchemist Crypteks specialise in the transmutation of matter from one form to another and the instilling of animus within inanimate objects. Thus are they known as "Harbingers of Destruction," as the spread of destruction is their gift to the galaxy. If every model in an INFANTRY unit is on or in an Area Terrain feature with this trait, then it can either Hold Steady or it can Set to Defend (see below) when an enemy unit declares a charge against it.

Navgran the Eternal — Cryptek in the service of the Sautekh Dynasty. Known as the High Transmuter. [2c] After both sides have deployed, but before you have determined who will have the first turn, you must assign a different one of the command protocols below to each of the first five battle rounds, and note this down secretly on your army roster. Malevolent Arcing- When an enemy unit is targeted by a Tesla weapon, you can use this to roll a D6 for every other unit within 6”, inflicting a Mortal Wound on a 4+. Won’t affect the original target, and can hit your own, but can pass some significant damage around, especially if used on a large model, or a screening unit spread out across a large distance. Doesn’t even need to hit, so feel free to fire a single Tesla weapon into a central unit to spread some wounds around. We are a small team of Warhammer Enthusiasts and miniature collectors, hoping to support and further promote the hobby. Canoptek Control Node - The Canoptek Control Node is a device that allows a Technomancer to control, repair or augment the abilities of Necron Canoptek constructs on the battlefield from afar. It works through the use of beams of microscopic Nanoscarabs that are sent to carry out the requested operations on the designated constructs. Technomancer: These masters possess the power to augment and swiftly repair Necron units and Canoptek constructs upon the battlefield. [7a] In the long millennia since the Necrons' biotransference, Crypteks have become just as stagnant and fragmented as every other aspect of Necron society. In the present era of the late 41st Millennium, the surviving Cryptek Conclaves are maintained out of force of habit more than for any practical purpose. Illuminor Szeras - The enigmatic Cryptek Plasmancer known as Illuminor Szeras is one of the most reviled beings in the whole galaxy. Both hated and envied by the other Necrontyr, it was Szeras' twisted genius that ultimately made the process of biotranference a reality, and condemned the whole Necrontyr civilisation to an eternal undeath. Uncaring, the megalomaniac Szeras only saw the sacrifice of his people as the first step of his own ascension to C'tan-like godhood. In the 41st Millennium, Szeras still labors toward that goal, seeking to unravel the last mysteries of life that escape him. Despite being distrusted and reviled by the majority of his peers and Necron royalty, Szeras' knowledge is so vast, and the help he can grant so potent, that few Nemesors refuse his assistance nor its price when offered.

If all models in that unit have their starting number of wounds, but that unit is not at its Starting Strength, one destroyed model is returned to that unit with one wound remaining. Veil of Darkness- The classic, letting the bearer and a CORE unit within 3” redeploy elsewhere on the battlefield. An almost auto take as it has so many uses, to get out of combat, put pressure on a different segment of the battlefield, get up field and threaten a charge, or nab an objective. All your Troops are Objective Secure. You have some of the most resilient Troops in the game by virtue of their special rules and stats, so holding Objectives should prove easier than others. While the Dynastic Codes of the Necrons were mentioned in previous Kill Team publications, this is the first time they have rules associated with each of their main sub-factions. For example, if you like the idea of setting up in a strong position and blasting your opponents to pieces without having to worry about all that manoeuvring nonsense, Nihilakh is a match made in (the War of) Heaven. The Unmerciful Horde- The Sautekh reroll morale trait. If you’re looking at a silver tide type list it could work, though as mentioned with Sautekh it’s not usually a major worry, or it’s already too late to really help you. Eldritch Lance - The Eldritch Lance is utilised by Crypteks who are also Plasmancers and are able to wield raw energy. This long stave is laced with arcane circuitry, its flared tip studded with focusing crystals. An Eldritch Lance emits a beam of annihilating energy, compared to which the Staff of Light seems but a toy. The passage of its blasts of furious energies can make even the air scream in agony. For those rare cases when the Cryptek's enemies survive long enough to engage him in close combat, the Eldritch Lance can be wielded in a manner akin to a spear. You can look forward to faction-specific Agendas, Requisitions, Battle Traits, Crusade Relics and, in the case of the Necrons, even Dynastic Epithets – bespoke titles that offer unique upgrades or abilities. Here’s one such example, The Slow Decay of the Self Requisition, which represents a Character succumbing to the mindless lust for violence embraced by the Destroyer Cult.

Our goal is to build upon and consolidate the great work already being done by other community members across various forums, reddit threads, and hobby blogs, and bring together a comprehensive library of all these useful Build Instruction booklets.Chronomancer ( Orikan the Diviner) • Plasmancer • Psychomancer • Technomancer ( Illuminor Szeras) • Apprentek Transdimensional Displacement- Get Dimensional Translocation, ala the Deceiver. It’s fine, though better for the Deceiver due to his innate deployment abilities and casting 2 powers. Example: Matts army is led by an Overlord (a NECRONS CHARACTER), and every model in it is from the same dynasty, therefore he must assign command protocols. He selects the following, writing them down on his army roster: The Crypteks have developed countless disciplines of techno-sorcery, down through the aeons. Further, each individual Cryptek makes its own unique advancements in its chosen expertise. As such, it is unlikely for two Crypteks to ever wield quite the same abilities and weapons.
