I found applying a small 2p sized amount on the ends of my hair left my hair really shiny and manageable and really works nicely after using the shampoo. Perfumes, sulphates, parabens, colours and phthalates are almost always present in shampoos, conditioners and washes, which can all result in irritation and allergic reactions so up until now I’ve sacrificed the state and condition of my hair in a bid to avoid my skin and scalp reacting. I’ve been using the products for the past month and honestly love them. Not only does the shampoo leave my hair feeling really clean and soft, it doesn’t leave my scalp feeling dry or tight and more importantly it hasn’t irritated the skin on my body (when it lathers and drops on my skin in the shower!) Yay to no longer having to lean over the bath to wash my hair! My skin is currently going through a healing process after years of damage caused by steroid cream so is even more sensitive than usual so for these products to be ok on my skin really is saying something! The difference being that SLS has beenidentified as a common skin irritant if left on skin for prolonged periods of time.SLES however whilst are derived from SLS go through a process which reorganises the compound making it much kinder to the skin and hair. It contains Aloe Very which is soothing and hydrating and very mild too. You can use it on children’s hair too which is great because my three-year-old has really wild curls that always need taming after washing. Styling This product is relatively new to me and over the past month it’s what I’ve been using. I like the consistency of the shampoo and that you don’t need too much to wash your hair (and I have a lot currently with my extensions). Used in conjunction with their conditioner, my hair is left lightweight, clean, and hydrated without stripping my skin/scalp of moisture. What I love is that it visibly reduces the appearance of split ends with the clever Biolipids and Camellia oil (which is rich in fatty acids) which help to smooth the cell membranes on the hair. For years I’ve battled with tresses that needs washing every day. On that note, you have no idea how many times I’ve tried to abstain from a daily hair dousing. You don’t need to tell me that such frequent washing strips oils but seriously if you saw my scalp on day two you too would be running for the shower with shampoo in hand. Shampoo If you have sensitive skin, allergies, asthma, or suffer with a skin condition, I can’t recommend this hair care range enough!It’s a great shampoo that cleanses my hair very well without drying out my hair or my scalp. It just smells clean and fresh. I love that it comes in a huge 350ml tube! It will last me ages. You know some people just have good hair? I’m not one of them. I haven’t the patience to style it and get in a right kerfuffle if I attempt to use my straighteners to do anything other than their intended purpose. How does one get a cute wave with their GHDs? From the products that I’ve tried so far, the hero product for me is their Sensitive Hairspray! Game.Changed! Developed alongside leading Scandinavian pro hair stylists, it is a medium-hold hairspray with added Pro-Vitamin B5 which offers a flexible hold (which can be brushed through and reworked). I’ve found a little goes a long way so if you just need a little help with flyaway hairs, a light mist will do. Alternatively if you need a stronger hold, you can layer it up to achieve the results. I was sent the Sensitive Shampoo (Normal/Dry), Sensitive Conditioner, Sensitive Hair Spray and the Sensitive Conditioner Spray to try. Since using their shampoo (every three days) my hair has never felt cleaner! The product doesn’t foam up like regular shampoo brands but it doesn’t need to. A little goes a long way and it coats your hair with a few swishes of your wrist. My hair felt smooth and easy to work with after just a few washes. Hair care is something that I take very seriously and I love Olsson’s ethos of helping all hair and skin types and being certified by associations who look after people with allergies. My Verdict of Olsson There’s some benefits to the use of sodium laureth sulfate in our formulation too. Sodium laureth sulfate helps oil and water-based ingredients, which generally don’t mix, to become dispersed. It is perfect for use in haircare because it is a paste and it makes a beautiful light lather, which helps the hands work the product through the hair with ease. Do we need our shampoo to lather?
