Tidmouth was originally intended to appear in full in the first series, however was later cut, likely due to budgetary constraints.

Though largely based on the television series, the My Thomas Story Library books often illustrate Tidmouth Sheds based on its original pre-1952 appearance in The Railway Series.I do recommend this product. There are better all-wooden trainsets out there such as the Maple Landmark Nametrains set which are amazing and 100% wooden. Thomas is a little expansive and adds the character we all love. Who is this product best for? A Special Story About Thomas, A Special Story about the Fire Engine! and A Special Story About Harold In the second series, Tidmouth is referred to as the terminus for Thomas' Branch Line most likely due to the branch line sheds being located in Tidmouth Yards nearby. Safe and environment friendly: This realistic-looking wild pine train set for pretend play is durable. It will remain the same after decades. This beautiful wild pine train set is handcrafted in solid, sustainable rubberwood that stands the test of time. Tender leaf toys are safe, chemical-free & eco-friendly as well. Most of the components are wood but there is quite a bit of plastic included in this set. The newer Thomas sets are made in Thailand and not China.
