About this deal

Eventually you will come to understand that love heals everything, and love is all there is." - Gary Zukav In it, Rupi guides us gently through exercises that feel designed to be part self-help and part writer’s retreat. What I loved was how encouraging she was throughout. She really does make you feel like you, too, can be a poet. No small feat for those of us that are intimidated by writing anything personal let alone poetry. She affirms over and over that we all can be writers and gives us the tools to get there. I won’t lie to you; there are parts of this book that will be triggering for those with past traumas. Rupi asks us to confront the darkness in our pasts with bravery while at the same time making us feel like it’s okay and safe to do so. The overall effect is that she’s standing behind you, ready to give you a high five or a hug or perhaps just a cheeky wink from the corner of the room.

Overall, Healing Through Words is a must-read for anyone who is looking for a way to connect with their emotions and find healing in their pain. Kaur's words are a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there is hope for a brighter tomorrow. It offers a variety of exercises that suit different styles and preferences of writing, such as free verse, haiku, sonnet, acrostic, etc. There are so many ways to heal. Arrogance may have a place in technology, but not in healing. I need to get out of my own way if I am to heal." - Anne Wilson Schaef By far the strongest poison to the human spirit is the inability to forgive oneself or another person. Forgiveness is no longer an option but a necessity for healing." - Caroline Myss The book is peppered with examples of her past work, and perhaps my one complaint about this book is that I had hoped to read some new work. All the same, it was a joy to revisit some of my favourites and her greatest hits.I'm touched by the idea that when we do things that are useful and helpful - collecting these shards of spirituality - that we may be helping to bring about a healing." - Leonard Nimoy After seeing in person her touching performance in Sao Paulo, i bought the book and, in a way i still cant believe it, i had it signed by Rupi. It may not be suitable for younger or sensitive readers who may find some of the topics or language too mature or triggering. It covers a wide range of themes that are relevant and relatable to many people, such as trauma, loss, heartache, love, healing, and celebration of the self. Poetry] is long conversations by the ocean. Our lives are poetry. And the final act is writing it down.”

Spoiler- I have not yet finished this book, but wanted to put my thoughts out there to hopefully inspire and help another reader/writer to explore this book. Every step taken in mindfulness brings us one step closer to healing ourselves and the planet." - Thich Nhat Hanh And now, i am "reliving" this experience but in another time. Experiencing her words and translating my feelings, trying to really heal trought words.I like journaling, but this book walks you through different parts of your life with prompts that make you truly dig deep. I was diagnosed 2 months ago with Bipolar 2 and honestly, I have been struggling. I had never been one to read poetry but bought this book in hopes it would provide some comfort.

Next, this book takes her poetry, her experiences, opinions and passion and gives you a chance to start documenting your own experiences and feelings. This is then channeled into healing. What’s not to love?Healing Through Words by Rupi Kaur is a book of guided poetry writing exercises that aims to help the reader explore their emotions and creativity. The book is divided into six sections: Breaking, Healing, Loving, Celebrating, Remembering, and Becoming. Each section contains prompts, questions, and examples to inspire the reader to write their own poems. Rupi podrzuca wiele przykładów ze swoich tomików, które są bardzo pomocne w trakcie wypełniania i odpowiadania na pytania.

New York Times bestselling author Rupi Kaur presents guided poetry writing exercises of her own design to help you explore themes of trauma, loss, heartache, love, family, healing and celebration of the self. She takes us beyond just reading her words. Now we have a chance to start being creative ourselves, and turning our experiences into words we might not otherwise be able to speak. Love one another and help others to rise to the higher levels, simply by pouring out love. Love is infectious and the greatest healing energy." - Sai Baba Zadania w tej książce są przeróżne: jedne łatwiejsze, drugie trudniejsze - wymagające skupienia, czasu oraz cierpliwości. Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn't you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are." - Rachel Naomi RemenFor me, singing sad songs often has a way of healing a situation. It gets the hurt out in the open into the light, out of the darkness." - Reba McEntire When I heard that Rupi Kaur would have a new book out, I just went for it. I didn’t even read the description. Rupi is an auto-buy for me every time. So imagine my delight and surprise when this book turned out to be guided writing exercises rather than a book of new work.
