The reason it doesn’t have 5 stars it’s because Otis had some red flags but i’m glad he got the help and still making improvements. Midnight Kisses is a heartfelt novel written with compassion and hope, reconciling the past to pave a road to happiness and second chances. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. They made readers love them, they made readers sad, they made readers angry, they made readers laugh, they made readers cry, and they made readers believe in the promise of love and home. I love the author’s writing and how she brought out the good and the ugly in all the characters. And the fact that this is a debut is amazing! I can’t wait to read more of her work in the future.

When this herkie actor showed up we all said I hope this is not supposed to be her love interest. Unfortunately he was. Otis and Greta were perfect. Otis was such a puppy and Greta a ball-buster. They balanced each other out in the best way. I loved seeing them grow and change and watch them fall in love.The pace, in the middle part, got slow. It helped for character development and getting to know the characters but it got slow. I will considered this a slow burn but not your typical one. If you read it, you’ll know what i’m talking about. Will I be able to tolerate his imperfections and accept his past mistakes? Will he accept mine? I'm not perfect. I'm so aware of that.
