I plan on buying one of the pax but im not sure which one. What i value most is efficiency (how much used vs. how much vapor is produced), strength of vapor, how much product it can hold in oven and cost. One other thing you could try is making the outlet hole on the mouthpiece a little bigger with a small drill or screwdriver, but I would recommend buying a second mouthpiece and trying it on that in case it doesn’t work out. It doesn’t sound like a common problem, if the material is being heated the vapor should be going somewhere, are you any closer now to figuring out what the issue is? Performance is pretty damn good considering how small this thing is. The amount of vapor you can get and the quality of it is definitely above average for a portable, and it does perform a little better than the original (when it’s clean :P). I really like how it performs well with both short and long draw durations, this allows people with different draw styles (like my wife and I) to both have a good experience when vaping together. Leah, Using the NewVape “Pax2 Non-vented Lid 2 with pusher combination” and a clean Pax2, if I elect to, I can put in only a miniscule amount. Just enough for 3 or 4 pulls.

It seems you have to toke heavily to get a pull out of it, which is nothing like my Vapir no2 home unit. Any ideas toward improving this? I read your other responses and enjoy your info. I think the taste of the Firefly vapor is superb but the Crafty produces the strongest or most potent vapor of any portable I’ve reviewed. It’s a very well-rounded, good looking, good performing vape. It has also proven to be extremely reliable, I’ve received virtually zero defect complaints and the original unit shown in my review still works like new. The grind consistency that everyone is used to from a common 4-piece grinder will work with most vaporizers, but if you really want maximum performance you need to grind your herb even finer than that.

Anyway, my main recommendation here is the caps because they are so cheap and honestly smell is a big problem for the Pax 2 (it’s a good smell, just very strong). The original had just 1 hour of battery life but it also only took 1 hour to fully recharge. I personally charge all my vapes after every session or two under normal circumstances, so I kind of valued the short charge time of the original more than the longer life of the new one. However, this is really personal preference, 2-3 hours is really not an extremely long charge time, it’s pretty average. The moutpiece works fine for me because I soak it in soapy water and seasalt while I’m cleaning the rest of it and I also lubricate it well.) I am trying to decide between the Pax 2, the Alfa, and the CFV vaporizers. I am what you would consider a “ripper” and I like to have big clouds. I like to have smooth rips with big clouds. Which do you recommend? Thanks!! The PAX 2 comes with a nice cleaning kit, so make sure to use this and keep your PAX 2 nice and clean so it can always perform at it’s best. You can use the pipe cleaners with the provided cleaning fluid, to “floss” your PAX 2 and keep the airways nice and clean. One of the positives of the PAX 2 over the PAX 1 is that it requires less maintenance. After around 12 or so sessions our PAX is still going strong, but I can slowly start to feel the air flow getting tighter. I have heard people vaping the PAX 2 for up to to 20 sessions before cleaning it, but I would recommend giving a clean after 10-15 sessions to make sure it is performing at its best and that the air flow stays nice and open. The downsides to this unit are the slower heat-up time and below-average battery life but the taste and cool temps of the vapor production are totally worth the wait. This is the best vaporizer for people who like a free-flowing draw. Pax 2 Review Summary Next, don’t exit the app, but cycle through the various temperature settings before you select the one you prefer. However, if you are looking for a device with a big draw and like to “rip” your dry herb, then I would look at something like the Crafty or the Arizer Air. I quite like sipping and a tightish draw, so the PAX 2 was right up my street. I brought the unit to a family members house over Easter and that was the first thing he commented on. “Man, that thing really smells….” At that point I became more noticeable to me. I had about 5 sessions through it being brand new and never cleaned. I used it yesterday a bit and had it sitting on my kitchen table and noticed the smell of vape/resin in the kitchen. Mind you the oven was empty. I then had it laying on my bed while I was changing to take the dog for a walk and again the bedroom stunk really bad. After taking the original Pax with me EVERYWHERE I have noticed the Pax 2 has more of an odor with it and I cannot bring it anywhere with me. Very bummed about that.
