There is traditionally a hierarchy of elements, although some modern schools of thought have abandoned this system. The lower elements in the hierarchy are more material and physical, with the higher elements becoming more spiritual, more rarefied, and less physical. In my opinion energy is literally everything, you can't beat energy because you are energy, and also you could literally destroy the universe since there is basically nothing that is not made of energy. Also all of the are also made of energy so technically any person who wields this element also wields every other element in existence. You could also resurrect yourself and others. You could also make yourself immortal. You could also kill people in an instant because we have atoms inside of us. Water is one of two elements that have a physical existence that can interact with all of the physical senses. Water is still considered less material (and thus superior) to earth because it possesses more motion and activity than earth.
