Description

Husband and wife Rhod Gilbert and Sian Harries’ new podcast offers a much-needed escape into their comedy basement to talk about anything but the relentless news cycle. They call their friends while they’re down there to mull over anything that takes their fancy, whether that’s discussing the mile-high club with Sarah Millican or taking advice from Josh Widdicombe on how to delete a WhatsApp message if you’ve sent an elderly neighbour something unsuitable. Gilbert and Harries are a natural comedy pairing who more than deliver on the froth front. Hannah Verdier

I don’t usually read non-fiction books but I’ve listened to a little bit of their podcast and found it funny, so why not?!The book is based on stories that people sent in to their podcast, some hilarious, some WTAF and some just downright ik moments. You also get little snippets and glimpses into the lives of the comedic couple, lots of which I found mirrored my relationship with my partner...maybe that's why it works?! 🤷‍♀️

Love the podcast so was thankful to receive this as a gift for Xmas. A really easy relatable book, if you like the podcast what’s not to like...

I love how open and honest Chris and Rosie are about their lives including past relationships, having a child and embarrassing moments. I read this a couple of years ago but decided to give it a listen this time instead. I absolutely love the podcast and listen to it religiously. This was great, just like listening to the podcast. Chris and Rosie are 100% themselves, and you can clearly tell they’ve put a lot of time and effort into it which is so good to see.

Morris, Lauren (23 April 2021). "Best podcasts to listen to in 2021". Radio Times . Retrieved 6 May 2021. If you get a chance to read it then please do, it is extremely funny. There are stories that people have written into on their podcast that I did not believe could happen and I am a former nurse and have seen a lot at a young age. Yes there is a section on Poo, and I have known people to smear poo on the walls and over bed sheets and themselves, but someone actually eating poo because of it being a fetish now, I knew dogs did it because they just did but actual humans please no that is just too much. a b "Major new arena dates added to Chris & Rosie Ramsey's record breaking Sh**ged. Married. Annoyed. live podcast tour in 2021". Avalonuk.com. 26 April 2021 . Retrieved 7 May 2021. Annoyed is like a massive what’s your beef section, sorry no Barry Beef in this book. Hilarious letters and the infamous let’s talk about shit had my laughing a lot but I couldn’t tell anyone why 😅 In 2019, Chris’ second live stand-up special Approval Needed was released by a major streaming service.Every side-splittingly funny and honest episode features real-life married couple,Chris and Rosie Ramsey, chatting about life, relationships, annoyances, parenting, growing up and everything in between. While I thought this was good it is nowhere near as good as the podcast. The stories just don't have the same "bang" to them without Rosie's snorts and Chris's reactions. I also thought they could have done a MUCH better job on the choice of font to show who is "talking". If you like rude jokes and banter then this is the book for you. If you're a poo phobe, avoid at all costs! Narrated by both Chris and Rosie the book has different fonts enabling you to see who is saying what.
