orifice should be used (do not use a 1.1 orifice as you will over work the pump and increase electrical draw) The brand new Active 2.0 is a great entry level pressure washer for auto detailing. We tested their first version of this unit and it was not quite up to our standards, on the 2.0 version they have made some nice improvements and we are now confident offering it to you as an entry level pressure washer solution. For the price point this is a solid product, the pump is obviously not the same quality as the higher priced options we offer. What do I do when I face a product defect or performance issue with the Active 2.0 (SE01)? I really like this washer. I followed a Youtube video on how to connect this to a inexpensive power washer hose reel. It works like a charm.
The unit I have now has no issues. I am really happy with the performance of it. It provides a good amount of pressure and runs much quieter than my previous pressure washer. For car washing, I am going to use a 5.0 orifice nozzle. That is what I prefer. What I really like about the Active 2.0, however, is that you can use a variety of nozzles to tailor the pressure to the task you are doing. In our testing, we found that you can go down to a 3.5 orifice nozzle for high-pressure cleaning and up to a 7.0 for lower-pressure cleaning. If you want, grab the nozzle kit we have for the Active 2.0, so you can decide for yourself what nozzle you like. The power outlet should be about the same height as the shelf but to the right. Ours is lower than that because we didn’t move it. It's not ideal.

Most of these other cheap pressure washers on the market (Greenworks, Ryobi, SunJoes) have a lifespan of 100 hours; James and his team set out to increase that lifespan to 200-250 hours. This revamp required some upgrades of the internal components to achieve the outcome they set out to accomplish.When they built this machine, they didn’t make it with performance as the top priority; it was longevity. I’m repeating myself when I talk about longevity, but I want you to understand the vision and motivation behind this thing. The performance is/was a byproduct of the overall goal.

We were able to get 2.0+ GPM with a 5.0 orifice nozzle. I’d say this is the sweet spot because that also put us around 700 PSI, which is plenty for car washing. I have been trying to reach customer service for warranty support. I will update this review based upon that experience. I think this is the perfect portable solution for anyone who wants a high-performing pressure washer that won’t break the bank. I will always suggest that you wall mount your unit, but if you’re someone who likes to move around freely with your pressure washer or you just can’t wall mount it, this is the solution you want.
The Active VE52 is the world’s first 5 piston pump pressure washer, providing powerful and efficient cleaning for all your outdoor needs. That said, ACTIVE stands behind their product with prompt replacements, since I was still in warranty. However the 2 years is up soon, so these are essentially 2 year life units, no acceptable. Buyer beware if you expect more life/use like I did. Ryobi or Greenworks next time.

This is the nicest unit I've used at this price point, by a long shot. The Active 2.0 (SE02) pressure washer comes with a 2-Year Residential Use warranty. Refer to the product manual for further details. I’m not exaggerating when I say this, people; the Active 2.0 electric pressure washer is a true game-changer. You are going to want this thing.
