PDF / EPUB File Name: More_Confessions_of_a_Forty-Something_Fk_Up_-_Alexandra_Potter.pdf, More_Confessions_of_a_Forty-Something_Fk_Up_-_Alexandra_Potter.epub This book is a sequel to a book that I haven't read, however that didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying this one.

The story of Nell Stevens’ struggle through her imperfect, messy life doesn’t just make brilliant fiction, it’s turning into a cultural revolution!' Matt CainAs Nell navigates the complexities of love, friendship, and self-discovery, I found myself nodding in agreement, pausing to reflect on my own life and decisions. Potter's witty prose and insightful exploration of life's messiness make for an unputdownable read that's both heartwarming and thought-provoking.

However, I am not sure what I think about this book. It for sure gives you with it promises in the title: more confessions. This novel simply follows Nell and her opinions about life. Some are brilliant, some are not, I agree with some, with some I don't agree... But altogether, for me, the plot was not strong and felt mixed up. On the other hand, there are many, many points that resonated with me and there are for sure many, many women out there with same thoughts and feeling. Confessions of a Forty-Something by Alexandra Potter will make you laugh, and it might even make you cry. Above all, it will remind you that you're not on your own – we're all in this together. Life finally seems to be plain sailing for Nell - her job, her man, her friends all going well - but this wouldn't be real life without a few spanners in the works so nothing is quite as settled as she thought. Funny but layered, light-hearted but surprisingly deep, this is a perfect and inspiring new year read.”— Red (UK) The story of Nell Stevens’ struggle through her imperfect, messy life doesn’t just make brilliant fiction, it’s turning into a cultural revolution!' - Matt CainThe first Confessions book was one of my favourites of 2021. It was so original and I absolutely loved it! So I squealed with excitement at being given a copy of the sequel.

But that’s one of the good things about getting older: often the most terrible of things turn into the most amusing through the lens of time.” Celia Walden, The Telegraph The story of Nell Stevens’ struggle through her imperfect, messy life doesn’t just make brilliant fiction, it’s turning into a cultural revolution! The women whom I love and admire for their strength and grace did not get that way because shit worked out. They got that way because shit went wrong and they handled it. They handled it in a thousand different ways on a thousand different days, but they handled it. Those women are my superheroes. ELIZABETH GILBERT” Synopsis (It's a fiction book, so it helps…from Netgalley, the provider of the book for me to review.) Lucy Dillon I loved this book so much. It’s very funny and painfully true. Confessions of a Forty-Something is perfect comfort reading for anyone who thinks life isn’t working out as they want it to, whether they’re forty, fourteen or eighty-four.I will continue to read Alexandra Potter’s books, as from the 3 books I’ve read so far by her, I thinks she does a great job at capturing the trials and tribulations of women in their 40’s. A beautiful, lyrical, and achingly brilliant story about love, grief, and family. Henry's writing will leave you breathless." —BuzzFeed In the hilarious and heartfelt follow-up to Confessions of a Forty-Something F##k Up Nell discovers that there's no such thing as having it all figured out.

However, her friends of a similiar age all seem to be in a different place...marriage, kids, careers and Nell thinks of herself as a bit of a F-up. No old lady hair’ should have been included in our wedding vows as my husband has made me promise this on numerous occasions. 🤣 ——‘I might be in my eighties but I’m not having a cauliflower head….That’s what my friend Una called old lady hair. At my age you have to on guard against a short curly perm.’Nell is a forty-something peri-menopausal Bridget Jones type character who is enjoying her own space in her first home and has an good job. Single - nearly 29 and single, and I'm still being asked "when are you going to find a man and settle down? A novel for any woman who wonders how the hell she got here, and why life isn't quite how she imagined it was going to be. And who is desperately trying to figure it all out when everyone around them is making gluten-free brownies.
