About this deal

Yes, we know, this isn’t technically a color-depositing conditioner so much as it is a clear gloss. But if you don’t color your hair but do want some added vibrancy to your natural hue, this formula is amazing. It works on all hair colors (and types and textures) and adds a mirror-like shine that lasts up to eight washes. Buriti oil, apricot oil, and shea butter give this mask its luscious consistency—it's an amazing choice for anyone with hair that needs a little extra TLC and a color refresh at the same time. It comes in four shades, including two options for blondes and two for brunettes, all of which are specially formulated to reduce color fading. You really can’t mess these up since the color is very minimal and ultimately washes out, and it’s a product that pretty much anyone could use. “Anyone who would like to add shine, enhance their existing color, or cool down yellow or brassy tones can benefit from using a color-depositing conditioner,” says colorist Giselle Luza, founder of Giselle Luza Studio. The point is, they work to combat brassiness in your blonde highlights, enhance your brunette base, or revive your all-over red. Plus, a color-depositing conditioner is also great for experimentation if you want to try a tone without committing to permanent dye. And yes, you use them exactly as you would any other conditioner, simply letting the formula sit on the hair for a few minutes longer to reap the benefits. Swap one out for your usual conditioner a few times per week, or use it whenever your hue needs a little help.

Color-depositing conditioners are conditioning treatments that add shine, enhance the hair’s natural color, or neutralize brassy, unwanted tones,” explains Luza. They do this by adding a pure color tone to the hair, adds Fleming. Like a top coat for your hair color. I, however, am really pleased with this product, and am downright thrilled that I’ve finally found a replacement for John Frieda’s Colour Glaze. I’ll definitely be buying it again, although there is one big question on my mind: I wonder how long it’ll be before they discontinue this one, too? True to its name, this hybrid formula imparts high shine and tons of smoothing and softening benefits. It comes in 11 natural-looking colors, including plenty of options for blondes, brunettes, and redheads. It can also be used to refresh all-over color, as well as to tone highlights or lowlights. I have been using this product for a couple of years now, it revives the red, cooper tones of my natural color. It leaves hair quite soft too.Provides customisable colour results for sheer to vibrant colour, depending on how long you leave it on. In my case, my hair looks shinier and just a little more vibrant: the blonde baby hairs, meanwhile, are blending in better with the rest of my hair (I applied the ‘brunette’ colour to my hairline before getting into the shower, left it for a few minutes, then rinsed it off and used the red over it), but they’re still a bit lighter than it, so I’m a little dubious about the ‘blends first signs of grey’ claim on the bottle, and suspect you might have to leave it for longer than five minutes if you have greys that need covering. So, the first thing I noticed here is that this is a much better conditioner than the old Colour Effects, which was actually pretty useless as a conditioner: I loved it for its colour-depositing properties, but would always have to use a separate conditioner afterwards, whereas this product does it all in one. In this respect, I’d say it’s much more like the old John Frieda Colour Glaze (which was also discontinued in red, much to my disappointment) than Colour Effects, and this is a very good thing indeed. After using it, my hair felt in much better condition than it usually does, and it was easier to detangle, too. Precious metals have been inspiring some of our favorite hair colour trends for the past few seasons, with everything from rose gold hair to sleek silver hues adding subtle shimmer. The next shade to take a shine to? Copper hair. Whether dialed up to a warm, rich orange tone, or down to a soft, coral shade, it’s the go-to hue for a glowy dose of warmth. As for ‘Ruby Red,’ meanwhile, it’s actually lighter than both the name and bottle suggest, and pretty similar to good ol’‘Warm Copper Gold,’ may it rest in peace:

I’ve been on line and pop into every Superdrug I pass by just in case I find a bottle but sadly no joy. Suitable for all natural and cosmetic types of copper, dark blonde and light brown hair, this conditioner will enhance your shine and vibrancy whilst providing much needed condition and moisture. It is also a colour depositing product which can be used to enhance both natural and coloured hair with it's pigment specific formula. Results for each application last up to 10 washes. The tube contains up to 4 applications. Recyclable

Clairol Temporary Colour Gloss Up Enhance, one simple step to enhance colour or add vibrant tones - and add brilliant shine in one simple step. Anyway, I bought the brunette version of this product thinking I’d try it on the baby hairs, so that when I put the ‘Ruby Red’ over the top, it would all blend in. This plan actually worked better than I’d anticipated: the brunette colour is quite a light brown, and there is a bit of red to it, so it blended quite well with the rest of my hair. I’ve no idea what it would be like on hair that was brunette to start with, obviously, but if you’re a redhead looking to cover random blonde bits, you might be pleasantly surprised. infuse My. colour Copper Conditioner maintains the brightness of copper, auburn, gold and rose gold hair. The Copper Conditioner can also be used by brunettes and blondes . On dark brown hair , the Copper Conditioner will add a warm subtle glow and for light brown hair, the Copper Conditioner will add rich auburn tones. For those with bleached hair , the Copper Conditioner will add striking rose gold and peach tones. Thanks for the tip! I actually bought one of the Superdrug ones you recommended last year, but never got around to using it.
