Each one has a speciality that can really bolster your ranks — provided you position everything correctly. From the Clamavus to the Nexos, the Biophagus to the Kelermorph, or the Abominant to the Sanctus, you’ve got options. You could just go with a Broodcoven to keep it simple and I think we’re going to do that, too. Booby Trap- For 1CP A CORE unit or a SABOTEUR can plant a landmine on an Objective you control at the end of your turn, causing the next non- AIRCRAFT enemy unit to come within range of it to take D3 Mortal Wounds on a 2+, or flat 3 on a 5+. Fun and can be useful as a last ditch attempt to deny an objective to an encroaching enemy unit, though not to be relied upon, and fairly easy for the foe to counter by sending in chaff or a tank first to absorb the hits. Each Objective can only be bombed once, so timing is key. Fun, but not something to consider often. Some units can be swing and a miss, failing a crucial charge or whiffing some shooting leaving them utterly out of the game with no real way to try again

Genestealer Cults are one of the newer playable factions in the Warhammer 40k tabletop game, despitehaving been woven intothe game’s grim, dark futuresetting since almost the beginning. With all the buzz surrounding Fallout 76, fans of the post-apocalyptic series could be missing out on a different kind of multiplayer game. Created by Fantasy Flight Games, the Fallout board game gives fans a unique experience while staying true to the Fallout universe. The other main inclusion in the Genestealer Cults Codex is the Proficient Planning system. This allows you to expend points or power to upgrade units in myriad ways. For example, Lying in Wait allows a unit to emerge from being Underground more than three inches away from enemy models, albeit with its ability to charge that turn still denied. The secretive agency known as the Officio Assassinorum employs various means to exert the Emperor's Will. Not much is known about these assassins, but the same could not be said for the tabletop. When a CHARACTER fails a Saving Throw, another model within 3” can take the hit instead if you roll a 4+ (3+ for PATRIARCHS ), dying in their stead. Whilst this will outright kill the saviour regardless of damage (so yes, you can lose a 3W ABERRANT against a Lasgun), it can be well worth it to keep a vital Character alive.
