Hey is there anyway you could possibly split your infographics so they can be printed for bible study groups? When you try to print them the way they are they either come out TOO compressed or so small that you can’t read them?

The design also has meaning. The circles marking each prophecy are only outlined, and the circles for fulfillments are solid to reflect each prophecy has been completed. Colors are chosen to communicate Jesus’ presence, using the tones of spring and summer.

I basically love all things paper and ink, working as an illustrator and conceptual designer for print for 24 years and in publishing for 17 of those. That experience stretched across different media including: top magazines; Alpha and HTB; global charities like World Vision and Zacharias Trust and publishers including HarperCollins, Hodder & Stoughton and Penguin Random House. Jeff, that’s excellent work. Unfortunately you are missing 7 books and some chapters which actually make it longer in word count and content. I would find it interesting where these books fit in your really excellent work. These are historical facts, regardless of disagreements between Luther (& his progeny) and the Catholic Church of which Luther was an Augustinian monk and priest. Then Jospeh has another dream. This time, the sun, moon, and eleven stars bow down to him. This peeves his brothers and his father. “Really, kid? You think we’re all going to bow to you?” It is key to say that each contributor’s view is uniquely linked to their data set and will often differ from other contributor’s, or in fact, my own, view. This was important because I feel different theologies are not something to be feared, but to be embraced and grappled with. A healthy maturity comes from this wrestling. It is certainly true of my own journey.

The Infographic Bible by Karen Sawrey | Goodreads

It takes about 10 hours total to read all four Gospels and the book of Acts. If you spend 20 minutes per day, you could read all 5 books in just 1 month. It takes about 15 hours to read all of the Prophets, from Isaiah to Malachi. Spend just 30 minutes a day reading the Prophets, and a month from now you will have finished all 17 prophetic books. What other patterns can you find? Loved your dreams infograms. Prior to finding your work, I became intrigued by the dreams in Genesis and elsewhere as I was studying the book. I took a little different approach than “all” dreams to only the ones where something verbal was communicated. (example of non-verbal dream – Pharaoh’s dream of 7’s). My observation was language oriented in dreams to see how many different languages were communicated in dreams. No surprise that the God who created language(s) would be able to “speak” them all even in dreams. There are multiple dreams in Hebrew probably but here is a list of probable languages. At the top of the ladder is the Lord, who promises that Jacob will indeed return home, and his descendants will possess the land of Canaan. 3. Jacob’s call home Karen Sawrey: Think about fitting a camel through the eye of a needle. That’s what I felt like I was doing! As we create with God we worship him and as we worship God creativity is released! AMAZING! It’s a wonderful and powerful cycle and relationship (see pp112-113). Spiritually: Pushing into deeper relationship with God as I really needed him to be my everything. This journey has been a rollercoaster ride. There were many times of utter exhaustion and total isolation, the sacrifice was huge for an extrovert socialite and when everything in my soul wanted to go out and play or my body wanted to stop I had to choose to continue and the only way that was possible was to strengthen myself in the Lord!

Magi’s warning. The wise men visit the young Jesus. God tells them in a dream to avoid king Herod as they return home—the jealous king wants to kill the boy. This infographic is the bridging of the Old and New Testaments. It spans where the paper changes from the Old Testament’s uncoated, to the New Testament’s coated paper. I know it sounds geeky but it’s been strategically placed so the reader can experience the shift between testaments and between prophecy and fulfillment. Even if it was your first encounter with the Bible, your fingers would feel the change. The process began with gathering a team of people who would support the project and be the scaffold to allow an infographic to be created. That team included theological advisors, legal, admin, publishing and technical support as well as some training for me.That was a big takeaway for me, too. It was also interesting to note how few dreams the Bible records—and how clumped together they are. Good catch! Column F is supposed to represent the Bible’s word count total. I’d left that count from a while ago (before adding the Aramaic portions). There was a big problem though: Sarah was gorgeous. And some of the city leaders had enough power to take whatever they wanted by force. If a king had a crush on the new girl in town, all he had to do was murder her husband and take the woman for himself. (Nice people.) Hey Joanne. Genesis 15 was actually a tough one for me. Abraham certainly slept through the last half of the chapter! I didn’t categorize Genesis 15 events as a dream for a few reasons: Great job.. In light of all the “God will give you a dream and the means to fulfill it” it’s very contrasting to how dreams looked biblically..

Long before the nation of Israel settled between the Mediterranean and the Jordan River, their ancestor Abraham sojourned throughout the territory with his wife Sarah. Abraham was a rich guy (and therefore a pretty big deal), so it’s not like he and Sarah just stopped at a Holiday Inn late at night before leaving at first light the next day. When Abraham moved to a new city, the leadership of that city took note. Karen Sawrey: Wow, I’m so thankful for everyone involved in creating Bible Gateway. It’s such an incredible tool; one which I regularly use and love. I especially appreciate the ability to compare different translations at the same time. It was a difficult process proving hard to get off the ground, the result of which was HarperCollins asking me to consider taking on the project as a single author. As the revelation of the task before me increased so did the team, it grew from 3 to 7 and at the final count in 2018, 57 people had been involved in making this book possible (see pp 216-217).

2. Jacob’s ladder

Scripture excerpts from the New Revised Standard Version, the New King James Version, and the Good News Translation Carlisle Vineyard church has been such a huge part of this project, supporting me in various ways (see pp218). Perfect for use with Bible reading plans, personal Bible reading, or family devotions, this edition invites the reader to slow down and delight in the beauty of God’s Word. As the Biblical Prospector explains: the following graph shows the number of occurrences, per 1000 words, of verses in the King James Version of the Bible that begin with the word and. The first occurrence of this pattern Genesis 1:2: "And the earth was without form...." The next verse also begins with and: "And God said, Let there be light..." In fact, 29 out of 31 verses in the KJV Genesis 1 begin with the word and. Many books on systematic theology use the method of dividing God into two parts: God’s transcendent nature and God’s character. This chart type is used to visualize part-to-whole data; it works well here to show the categories and sub-categories of those parts used in the Bible to describe God.
