About this deal

When power is low the battery status icon on the front of the brush handle will flash and you will likely feel the decrease in brush power. The Genius 8000 launched as a cut-down, value version of the original Genius 9000 brush, and it still feels like a high-end toothbrush despite its price. It also gives an excellent clean, with a choice of six brush modes and three brush heads – CrossAction, 3D White and Sensitive – to cover a wide range of dental needs. Its Lithium-Ion battery still needs charging overnight but will last for over an hour of brushing from there on in, which should cover you for a couple of weeks. The blue bristles within the head will fade over time to a pale blue/translucent colour. This is a cue for you to change. Just be aware that bristles really only need to skim the teeth. Only a little brushing force is needed. More scrubbing pressure does not equal a better clean. When buying partner items like this one, your contract of sale will be with our Range Plus Partner instead of The Range.

Power up to a better clean with the Oral-B Pro Battery battery-powered toothbrush. Come with 1x brush head and batteries. Up to a point. Oral-B’s CrossAction, FlossAction, Precision Clean, Sensi and 3D White brush heads work across brushes in the Vitality, Pro, Smart and Genius lines, but iO Series brushes have their own specific Ultimate Clean and Gentle Care heads. What features are worth paying extra for? Battery life isn’t up there with some Sonicare models – you’re looking at a recharge roughly every three weeks – but if you want the latest and greatest toothbrush tech for less, there’s no better buy.You should imagine your mouth broken up into 4 sections. Upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left. The idea is that you spend 30 seconds cleaning each section. The pacer helps you keep an even brushing time on these 4 sections. Together these add up to the 2 minute total. Whilst there is nothing particularly bad with an NiMH battery, Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) tends to be more common and popular now. Thanks Jon. This brush has one setting, rotation only. Def no pressure sensor, or warning, in any sense of the word! Reply

So whilst it is a useful feature, the fact that it is hard to spot or realise it is even activated is a negative. The Pro 3 3500 has the visible sensor, which is much easier to detect. What you expect in terms of battery life from a toothbrush may be different from what someone else expects. It has a rounded shape although not perfectly cylindrical, it is a little deeper than it is wide, but it does feel relatively slim in hand. Pro Series: Oral-B’s affordable, mainstream brushes. These bring in the 3D action, with micro vibrations, oscillation and rotation for a better clean, along with pressure alerts and a lithium-ion battery (on most models). There is a single button on the front of the brush handle, that stands out because it is white in colour. It has a convex design, and it slightly recessed into the handle. It is not the stiffest button to press, but it is not the softest either. There is a bit of resistance to it. Given what you receive it is arguably about a third bigger than it needs to be, but it is a universal box design that Oral-B uses to keep things simple when it comes to manufacturing and production.
