Description

Polywatch is especially great for superficial hairline scratches as it doesn’t require a lot of grinding of the plastic material on the crystal. However, PolyWatch also works well for deeper scratches, although you need to apply more pressure and polish for a longer period of time. As mentioned earlier, polyWatch offers three kits, but for my timepiece, I only needed to use their glass polish kit. Although the kit was being used on watch glass for this article, it should be noted that the kit can also be used on everything from furniture to cars and even on windows. When you are done and start seeing results, wipe off any residue from the crystal. You can do this with a clean cloth. Most people don’t realise the value of their forgotten vintage timepieces and could find their watch or watches worth their gold weight. Irrespective of perceived values, all watches, particularly those of a certain vintage, deserve to be looked after and, if possible kept in, or restored to their former glory. This is where the kits offered by polyWatch can help.

The glass polish kit comes with everything you need, including a couple of syringes, a polishing rod and strips and some easy to understand instructions. The whole process is incredibly simple, and even someone as inexperienced as me found it a breeze!Either you or someone you know will have an old watch stored away, and there is a chance it could be worth some good money. Nowadays, nostalgia is booming, and so is the vintage watch collecting market. So, when you come across a vintage watch, you should try to keep it looking as good as possible, and one of the simplest ways to do it is with a polyWatch glass polish kit. I have yet to try it on my other LED watch, which has even deeper scratches, but given how well the polyWatch glass polish kit performed, I am quite sure the result will be every bit as good. What I do is use microsandpaper, starting with 1800 grit and working to 12,000 grit, this allows me to remove virtually all the scracthes, as a final step, I use Polywatch. They suggested polywatch on the crystal; but I tried toothpaste. I was afraid to use poly watch as I thought I was more abrasive. The toothpaste Took the sun spots out after a few applications. Amazing stuff.

Article size of the abrasive material so that you correct the larger scratches first and then get finer and finer to finally achieve a high shine with the final grit size....I would be skeptical about a single paste, unless perhaps the paste is made up particles that break down into smaller and smaller particle sizes as you work it into the crystal.I use my finger to apply and rub it in, that way it is easy to regulate the pressure. Once dry, I use a soft eye-glasses (silk?) cleaning cloth....It has worked great for me.

The whole process seemed to take no time at all. In fact, I probably spent more time reading the instructions than I did polishing the glass face on the watch! As far as iPhone screens go, I think that the iPhones, at least from the 3G onward, use glass screens with fingerprint-resistant coating. PolyWatch would probably only mess that up, so I'd recommend against it. I will sometimes, depending on the watch, use a coarse as 400 grit to start - all done by hand and you do need to be careful not to overdo it. It looks worse before it looks better: polyWatch is a German company that has forged an excellent reputation in the watch industry. They currently offer three kits specifically designed to improve and enhance watches; Plastic Polish, Glass Polish and Watch Protector. The three kits come with everything you need and cost a lot less than you would imagine. Paul is the owner and editor-in-chief of Luxurious Magazine. He previously worked as a fashion model, was in the British Army and created companies in the technology, venture capital and financial services sectors. PolyWatch is a cream that contains a very light abrasive material that will gently but effectively grind down your acrylic/plastic watch glass crystal, resulting in a scratch-free finish.

I'm curious about Polywatch, or any single product for that matter for a full crystal polish. I assumed that to get a good polish (ranging from scratch elimination all the way to a high shine), you need to progressively decrease the old t-shirt .... moisten lightly with some finger's worth of water until it results in a "wet-spot" (insert dirty joke here) ... then a bit of the polish (fingernail sized drop) ... then I gently work the mustardy-paste into the wet spot until all the excess is in the fabric (about 2-3" across).PolyWatch is a simple and reliable solution against scratches. The unique PolyWatch paste, which has proven itself millions of times, even removes deep scratches! It is not without reason that PolyWatch is the number 1 worldwide when it comes to watch polishes for acrylic glass. The innovative plastic deformation technology, which slightly softens the clear lacquer on the glass to fill in damaged spots, polishes away scratches and blemishes in an instant. Instructions Hesalite is Omega's term for acrylic crystals.......as far as I know. I can`t tell any difference and I`ve polished a few.
