Let’s take a look at CeraVe’s top four ingredients by volume versus Aveeno’s. CeraVe and Aveeno’s cleansers both use water and glycerin as their top two ingredients. Glycerin is a skin-identical ingredient that acts as a moisturizer and humectant (it attracts water from the air to your skin). It’s been used for more than 50 years and helps keep your skin barrier healthy. We love this ingredient and it’s great for sensitive skin! This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS. The CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen is a mineral/ physical sunscreen (as you could probably gather from its name), whereas the Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen. When applied on my skin, I immediately felt that satisfactory hydration, leaving my skin feeling optimally moisturized and happy. This is no joke, the hydration is real.

The body moisturiser's proprietary formula, which combines ceramide, rich emollients and a Triple Oat Complex, deeply moisturises to help restore and maintain healthy-looking skin. Continuing the trend of having dedicated ranges for specific skin concerns, both Aveeno and Cerave offer products specifically for relieving eczema symptoms. This comparison in particular is doubly interesting, though, given that both brands' products have the seal of acceptance from the National Eczema Association. Let’s take a look at their active ingredients to make our final decision. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream and Aveeno Skin Relief Moisture Repair Cream both have active ingredients that serve as antioxidants, cell-communicating ingredients, and skin-identical ingredients. Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.

Aside from the intense hydration effect my skin enjoys from this moisturizer, my skin also glows radiantly any time I apply it. The photo on the left is my face cleansed, but not moisturized, while on the right is my face moisturized with Aveeno Skin Relief Moisture Repair Cream. In Conclusion. Since using this moisturizer AM and PM for two (2) weeks, I never incurred any skin irritation or breakouts of any kind, which makes me more happy with the product, because I prefer a skincare product not to work, rather than breaking me out. But I strictly recommend you to perform a patch testprior to commencing product application as skin type differs, so shall results differ too. Unlike typical body washes, neither of these body washes contain soap (a common irritant), which is a major plus for those of us with sensitive skin. On the topic of irritant omissions, they're both also free from dyes and parabens, and while CeraVe's is free from fragrance, Aveeno's isn't. Therefore, after applying my night-time routine skincare products, I apply Aveeno Skin Relief Moisture Repair Cream to seal in moisture into the skin, and keep it intensively moisturized all night. While during my morning-time skincare routine, after application of my skincare topicals, I slap some reasonable amount of the moisturizer to my face, gently massage it till fully absorbed, then I move ahead to protect my skin with my sunscreen, before exploring my outdoor activities. The differences do begin to reveal themselves the closer we inspect their ingredients lists, though. Firstly, while Aveeno's day cream contains only chemical sunscreen ingredients, CeraVe's contains a mix of chemical *and* physical sunscreen ingredients. Given that they both provide SPF 30, there's some scope to argue that this means CeraVe's has a lower chance of causing irritation (since physical sun protection is widely regarded as preferable for sensitive skin types). Down to business, Aveeno Skin Relief Moisture Repair Cream delivered intense moisture to my skin as it claims — unlike moisturizers that don’t sink into the skin upon application, Aveeno Skin Relief Moisture Repair Cream does. When applied, it glides effortlessly and absorbs into the skin without leaving any greasy residue behind. It doesn’t also leave a matt finish — which is an advantage to those who doesn’t love moisturizers with matt finish
