Following the launch of the scheme, 24 units were reopened, connecting 37 organisations with affordable space and supporting more than 100 jobs. A ‘Meanwhile in Oxfordshire’ council-run project was launched in February 2020 with the goal of restoring the vast number of empty and underused units in Oxfordshire’s urban centres, while also supporting organisations in the local community in need of affordable space.
