It's a beautiful and honest account of the life of Anne-Marie and along the way, it presents so much to learn and become a better version of ourselves every day.

Prior to the release of her album, Anne-Marie released the single " 2002" on 20 April in response to constant urging by Ed Sheeran, the co-creator of the song. She credits karate with teaching her the "discipline and focus" necessary for her singing career, [14] but tours have made it difficult for her to find time for the sport. Her book includes little activities, mantras, snippets of her lyrics and random QR codes throughout that take you to private video clips from Anne-Marie to make you feel more involved and connected while reading.

I loved the style of writing, the layout of the book and just generally all of the topics it covered. Annemarie Brear’s novel “Prue” opens with the lead being informed by her feisty grandmother that they will be traveling outside England. I wasn’t an Anne-Marie superfan, I’d heard a few songs but didn’t know much about her if I’m honest, but I saw this book in the library and it caught my eye.Filled with personal anecdotes, doodles and handwritten notes and quotes, this bundle of joy has this super friendly narration with playlists, TV and book recommendations from Anne-Marie and also stories behind some of her wonderful songs. She spent much of her life during the 1980s living in England and it is from this time that she developed her love for history by visiting old and grand English houses. It was actually so interesting reading what aspects of her life that some of her songs are about and having an insight into her journey of dealing with fame and struggling to find her happiness within that. It can be small things like "Jokes for when nothing else works and you need something to make you smile" to "A quick excercise to let go of worry and be yourself" or ways to detect a toxic friendship. This is a candid account of her journey through life and along the way it might help the readers figure out what works for them and what doesn't.

Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE Biography | Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE

In 2019, Anne-Marie featured on the single " Lonely" by American singer Lauv for the soundtrack of 13 Reasons Why: Season 3. for example in one chapter she would be talking about her experience as an adult, then she would jump to her experience in school.

Her debut studio album, Speak Your Mind, was released in 2018 and peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. As Anne-Marie is a big inspiration of mine, I was really looking forward to read it and it was even better than I expected it to be. She appeared in two West End productions as a child: she auditioned for Les Misérables aged six, without telling her parents, and performed in Whistle Down the Wind with Jessie J when she was twelve.
