The maximum useful magnification of this ins

Since solar system objects like the Moon and planets move through the sky at different rates than deep-sky objects do, this gives you the ability to match the motor’s speed to the particular type of object you are observing. If you had, you would have discovered that eyepiece projection (digiscoping) has been mentioned at least 3 times (it's in the video too at about 6 minutes.I bought my Astromaster 130EQ in December, haven't opened the box yet but looking forward to putting it together! Our unit boasted well-corrected optics at high powers, with stars easily focussed into tiny airy disks. One of the great features of the Celestron Astromaster 130 EQ is its ability to view planets in our solar system.

The 10mm eyepiece is perhaps the best of the two, but the eye relief on both is quite poor - you have to push your eyes right up into the eyepiece cup to see anything, making for uncomfortable viewing, and almost impossible viewing for spectacle wearers. Hence I had to take the one remaining eye piece apart and put it back together properly, collimate the optics, make a counterweight as one was missing and clean the whole lot, phew ! With a primary mirror diameter of 130mm and focal ratio of f/5, the Astromaster 130EQ reflector telescope delivers crisp and clear images that make it suitable for both deep-space observation and terrestrial viewing. The additional magnification provided by the eyepiece allows your phone to capture great images of the Moon and planets. I find the placement a little odd, but it is actually more comfortable to reach than the standard location of finders on a lot of telescopes. From previous reviews, I knew about the mount, built-in finder and the primary mirror without the center spot, but went ahead and purchased it anyways because it was on sale. La idea inicial era pillar un tránsito de la ISS por delente del Sol, pero no llegué a tiempo, otra vez será. Planetarium software package which provides easy-to-understand explanations and impressive visuals of all kinds.

The 10mm Kellner supplied for medium power (65x with the 130EQ) works well, and thanks to its much greater and more reasonable apparent field of view (around 50 degrees) it actually achieves a similar true field to the 20mm Kellner. You can adjust the tripod’s height to raise or lower the telescope to your most comfortable viewing level. I am sure there would be some kindly soul who would be more than happy to help explain how it all works. This innovative software solves the time-consuming problem of trying to pinpoint the North Celestial Pole. I am not sure what the focal length of your scope is - I have the idea that there may be some at around f/8 and that the mirror may be spherical. Some of the bright galaxies, such as Andromeda, M82, and M64, will show their dust lanes, and under really dark skies, M51 and M101 might just reveal their spiral arms. Gemma is content director of science and space magazines How It Works and All About Space, history magazines All About History and History of War as well as Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) kids education brand Future Genius. The telescope comes with enough accessories for a successful night of observations, including 20mm and 10mm eyepieces.
