The opening blast is very strong nose-burning alcohol, but if you can get past that, it is very feminine and delightful. Sometimes flankers meant as sideline variations on a fragrance, become more popular than the original scent. Smells just like the original, however I wouldn't say much has changed, and especially for those who haven't worn Fantasy original for years, I doubt they'd be able to pick up anything new in this fragrance.

The cotton candy and cloudberry are sweet and yummy, and the pear leaf, finger lime, and water lily make everything zesty and light. You definitely have some other notes going on that add to the blend even if you can't pick them out one by one.I’ve loved the original Fantasy for many years but on me it smelled more fruity than cupcake and I am not a huge fan of fruity perfumes. Wary of the reformulation of the original and being a massive fruitchouli-lover, I found a 100ml bottle of Fantasy Intense for only €40. My nose is not being assaulted by the kiwi, and the gourmand notes are already peaking through, too.

I would say its a blend of Fantasy and Midnight, but doesnt have the strong plum fruity overtone like Midnight. When looking at it sitting on my dressing table with no direct sunlight it just appears overall very ‘pink’; however if you hold it up to the light and move it around you can see the rainbow colours.

Cause in the intense version the focus is more on the vanilla cupcake and patchouli with citrus and it's not as tart with added spiciness and woodiness. The name of this perfume and the burgundy bottle evoke an image of a deep and dark scent - or you might get the impression that this is just like the original Fantasy only stronger - but it's not the case. If you are hoping Fantasy Intense will have stronger cupcake and white chocolate notes, you will be disappointed. This is my favourite fantasy to date, very close smelling to the original but I feel like this is a darker and older scent.
