I do think, whether it's my own state of mind or not, that the HALTI No-Pull Harness did probably help ease pulling a little in certain overexcited moments, but I couldn't say for sure.
I say “slow,” because the trainer moves at the dog’s pace and doesn’t put the dog head halter on the dog until the dog is ready. If the Halti does not stop your dog from pulling, they may experience high levels of discomfort – even if the product is only used on walks. The RSPCA is opposed to the use of these collars, however, and they are not recommended for those dogs who suffer from anxiety or are sensitive. Senior dogs (those over 7 years) may naturally start to exercise less by walking rather than running and playing.
However, the Halti should not be thought of as a muzzle, and this is not its main purpose when working with your dog.
