The Logitech MX Anywhere 2S is a great wireless mouse option for those who prioritize flexibility and precision. The side grip doesn't reach out under your thumb, but the concave shape of the grip is a natural resting place. With Scroll Force set to the minimum, scrolling is almost smooth, save for a very subtle bump with each scroll. Just use a screwdriver or something as a lever and try to not crack the plastic, slow steady increasing pressure, and it’ll come unglued.

You can connect to your computer through Bluetooth or using the included Logitech unifying USB receiver. Plus, Logitech gives you a button right behind the scroll wheel that absolutely can be the middle mouse button that CAD/CAM workers need (I use it all the time for this exact purpose). Once you pair with a computer or tablet (the Anywhere 2S works with either Windows or Mac), you can press this button to switch between them on the fly, and three indicator lights above the button tell you which link is currently active.To be honest, unless you’re going to take advantage of the Logitech FLOW technology, then it’s not worth the upgrade from its predecessor. The MX Anywhere 2S is not a revolution in portable work mouse design: it is more of a thoughtful and planned evolution. unfortunately I don't have this mouse anymore so I can't be very specific on scew type or placement, but the screws are located under the mouse pads on the bottom of the mouse, if you decide to take it apart I suggest possibly getting spare mouse pads from Logitech support.

Inside, the battery replacement was super-straightforward, except that as noted the old battery is glued pretty well to the plastic mouse body. Now, this mouse is very configurable and you really want to download the Logitech software that comes with this mouse. That includes very glossy and even glass tables (Logitech says it functions with minimum 4 millimeter-thick glass), with which laser mice traditionally struggle.Smart Actions in the Logi Options+ App gives you the power to skip repetitive actions by automating multiple tasks with a single keystroke so you can streamline your workflow. Even though this mouse is smaller than I’d prefer for long-term use, activating horizontal scroll was more comfortable than expected. The outside of the wheel, namely the metal part and the ring, on the MX Anywhere 3 is a little smaller than MX Master 3’s wheel. Battery life shouldn't be much of an issue, though, as it's rated to last about 70 days on full charge, based on about six hours of daily use.
