One caveat: I used King Arthur Flour's step-by-step instructions on their site for creating and maintaining my starter. If this makes it sound like Tartine bread is a challenge only for expert bread makers to tackle, don’t fret. I have to say It is very fun to hear how Lepard learned the different techniques or recipes over the years, where and from whom, it certainly adds enjoyment and personal touch to the book.
