I particularly liked her friend Sandy- it’s a shame there wasn’t more of him in the novel to be honest. but instead everything ends up a convoluted mess and stretching credibility and believability beyond belief. The description of Benjamin’s garden sounded envy-inducing and I could vividly imagine such a lush, colourful landscape. Soon Ellie befriends their next-door neighbor, or perhaps it is the other way around, perhaps it is Benjamin who has befriended Ellie.

Anyway, it is through books like this that we are reminded how things can spiral out of control if not managed and confronted. It's a new beginning: your chance to put the terrible truth of what happened to you in the city behind you. They both describe themselves as quick to anger but quick to forgive so they have frequent spirited spats but they are nothing really. Thanks to NetGalley and Random House UK Cornerstone, I was given an early copy of this book for my unbiased and honest review.I’m afraid Tony Parson’s latest novel The People Next Door, is just lacking in appealing characters and is a massive miss for me. The reader is provided with insights into the believable characters, their actions and thoughts, leaving us shifting from siding with one person but then finding the alternative perspective so understandable.

In the end, this was not a hill worth dying on but one worth walking down however that is one of the things for readers to think about, making this one a great one to think deeply about. He clearly presents events and narratives, Indian and Pakistani, as he navigates the unpredictable turmoils, emotions, drama, and politics of our unfulfilled coexistence.Lana and Roman Wade are a young professional couples who have escaped unsafe and hectic London for a slower paced life in the idyllic Oxfordshire countryside.

However, I was not at all disappointed because I still had goose bumps running down my spine from listening to it! Kia’s books are never preachy and so you will read this as a family drama / crime novel that is well written but balanced. If this was made into a movie or TV series I would definitely have a hard time watching it because I do not like scary or gory and this book def brought it. It doesn’t take me long to realize he’s obsessed with Ellie and it seems like he’s always finding an excuse to come over. This book really did have all the makings of a good psychological thriller and left me uncertain of who to trust and what to believe.
