Description

I'd spend the first few days making sure you understand the MSRA exam and then plan to do a few hours a day of questions getting through as many questions as possible. This course is suitable for anyone that wants to get onto a specialty training programme for GP, Radiology, Psychiatry, Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics, Neurosurgery, CAMHS, CSRH or Nuclear medicine. If you achieve a band one in either of the papers, you will not be able to progress with your application. Until now, the only way to access personalised learning for exams like the MSRA was to pay for expensive courses.

The ‘how to revise’ section below will provide guidance and tips on preparing successfully for the MSRA.If you meet the eligibility criteria for that specialty you'll then be invited to book the MSRA exam. In most cases the scores carry over to the next stage and can affect overall ranking and job offers, and so the MSRA will be an important thing in deciding your rank and therefore your chances of getting an offer in your desired specialty and location. The good news is that the MSRA itself is free so you don't need to pay for it like professional exams. As mentioned for Obstetrics and Gynaecology ST1, in some cases, a high score can allow you to skip the interview section of the application and be ranked above fellow applicants, therefore increasing your chances of receiving a training offer in your preferred programme/location. I scored in the top 10% allowing direct entry into Psychiatry Training and Emedica was part of this success.

The more practice questions you do, the more chance you have of scoring a higher score, it’s that simple. It's a pretty big deal as almost all doctors in the UK are required to sit it as part of the specialty training selection and recruitment process and it has a pretty huge impact on your life and career as your score helps to decide what job you'll get and where you'll be training. We would also suggest spending a little time going back over this guide and the official guidance to make sure you fully understand how the PD questions are scored. Despite a rather short notice application and studying with three young children (hence the original plan of a career break) and the postman spending 15mins of my online sitting desperately trying to get my attention by any means, I passed with a score of 618 (315 clinical and 303 PD). Our question bank is the only one on the market that uses machine learning algorithms to identify your strengths and weaknesses, ensuring that every minute of your revision is focused on maximising your exam score.

I will definitely be recommending Emedica for any of my friends or colleagues revising for the exam. I have been invited to interview and I know I would not have done as I did in the MSRA without the emedica questions and crammer course. Thank you Dr Rahman and I used all the resources you provided aside constant contact with you over FB messenger.
