Not working on my skin, I just feel citruses and I can have this kind of perfumes for 2-3 pounds, so nothing special, but not very bad. I have quite a few citrusy fragrances for sports, but I never thought that a citrusy fragrance could smell so elegant and feminine until I tried Cerutti Image. On my skin, it didn’t last as long, but I had no problems reapplying mid-day as the scent is inoffensive.

If I sniff the sprayer the scent is fab, it's just how I remember it when it first came out, fresh citrus (very limey), peppery woody, sophisticated, unisex, very very llightly leathery. The heart of the composition is fresh with the bitterness of gentian root, water mint and mineral carbon note.

It never cost more than 30 when on the market but I see a seller is asking 55, as much it is my perfume of choice I will never pay that amount of money for it. The brand continued developing during the subsequent decades: numerous well-known designers and perfumers, such as Giorgio Armani, worked for the company.

I'm surprised by some negative reviews on it as I always get asked about its name-people love it, never heard a bad comment before. Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. The woody notes like the other notes are subtle and never really exert their own individual characters, but work quietly in the background. I don't get much mint or leather (which is good), but I can clearly smell a juicy grapefruit (fruit and peel), some nice, fresh, aromatic pepper and an excellent mixture of wood notes.

Now lavender and vanilla are not in the note breakdown and I suspect it's the creamy sandalwood/white musk combo which is giving that effect. I have a brand new bottle from 2002, so please note they may have done changes to the smell and this has also aged a bit (in a good way).

While no compliments have been received, I will add that during that first hour of wear, the "Wow Factor" could appear.I would recommend this for any woman - sporty, workinggirl and/or sophistcated lady who wants something fresh, but with a twist !
