The Pony Club requires that all rallies must be open to all members, unless there is an age restriction placed on it. Groups of riders at the rally will then be organised based on the abilities of rider and horse/pony as far as possible. It is important to book in as early as possible so that the groups can be organised according to abilities and so that the necessary instructor hours can be arranged. Body Protectors are compulsory for all cross-country riding and Pony Racing whether it be training or competing. For general use, the responsibility for choosing body protectors and the decision as to their use must rest with members and their parents. It is recommended that a rider’s body protector should not be more than 2% of their body weight. When worn, body protectors must fit correctly, be comfortable and must not restrict movement. Our Herefordshire theme continues through to our logo that also features the Herefordshire hop. Situated just outside Newmarket, we are the preferred supplier for many of the top, classic winning, race yards and numerous local riding stables and professional studs. We provide products for the rider, for the yard worker and for all seasons. Tack

Any body piercings should ideally be removed before going near your horse or pony. The larger and more pendulous piercings create a risk of damage to the body part through which they are secured. If you must continue to wear piercings, for those that are visible, they should be only studded and should be covered with tape or plaster so that they are secure. Hair To be clear, you can still wear your current uniform which includes a white shirt and tie, Pony Club sweatshirt or rugby shirt, there’s no obligation to buy the extended range. The main thing is that our members look smart, feel proud and feel like part of a team. There are some rules around our training and competition wear and these are: Rider:– Correct Dress – What to wear is based on being firstly safe and secondly sensible. New clothing is not expected, but what is worn must be clean, neat and tidy
