Description

Finding inexpensive Night Vision can be challenging, but through my research I discovered that night vision toys use real night vision technology. It is one of seven bosses with exclusive boss music. The others include Queen Bee, Queen Slime, Plantera, Empress of Light, Duke Fishron, and Moon Lord. Between the versions 1.4.3 and 1.4.3.6, there was an NPC named DeerclopsLeg in the files which did not actually appear during the fight. It was invincible [1] and had its own AI [2]. It was removed in the 1.4.4 update. If your budget is highly limited for Night Vision then both of these “toys” are very cool and leverage Gen-1 night vision tech. The clear winner in our books is the Spy Net Night Vision Infrared Stealth Binoculars, but your mileage may vary.

Using a script or add-on that scans GameFAQs for box and screen images (such as an emulator front-end), while overloading our search engine The Deerclops is part of the Don't Starve Together crossover. Many of the items of this crossover are dropped by the Deerclops. The tooltip of the buff is a reference to Willow's examination quote for the Deerclops in Don't Starve.

To get right to it, players that want to spawn this new boss in Terraria must first craft a Deer Thing by combining three Flinx Fur, one Lens, and either five Crimtane Ore or five Demonite Ore at an Altar. These material requirements are farily easy to fulfill, allowing fans to summon Deerclops quite early in pre-hardmode. In fact, fans can fight Deerclops before they even slay the Eater of Worlds, though the battle may be a bit difficult at that point in the game. All IR illuminators throw off some minor visible red light. This light is barely visible to the naked eye and if you are looking directly at the illuminator, you may see a slight red glow.

The tooltip of the item is a reference to Winona's examination quote for the Deerclops Eyeball in Don't Starve Together. https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/File:Deerclops_hit_0.wav https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/File:Deerclops_hit_1.wav https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/File:Deerclops_hit_2.wav The Deerclops' purple invulnerable form in Terraria looks similar to its Winter's Feast form in Don't Starve Together. Most night vision devices do not take AA or AAA batteries. They tend to use the CR123A (123A) batteries. CR123A is usually used in photography gear and tactical flashlights.

Gen-1 night vision technology, while not cutting edge technology, is still valuable. It should enable you to see about 60 yards, in poor ambient light, without using the Pulsed IR illuminator. I could see in the dark. I took them off and could see no light from the IR bulbs (on the “high” setting you can see them faintly).
