The main function buttons have been moved to the top right and are lined up accordingly, giving it a much cleaner look. There’s an added mute and volume button for the mic which is nice. Playing Dragon Ball FighterZ, the in-game button prompts were still Xbox controls, unfortunately. But, after a bit of getting used to, it’s easy enough to look past. But, once I was actually playing with the Panthera Evo, a few of the downsides showed themselves. Coincidentally, a traditional controller is still necessary. The PS4’s USB drive powers the Panthera Evo exclusively. This means that, like many peripherals, the Razer cannot power on the PS4 by itself. Some TVs can automatically turn on connected devices. If you’re like me, my 4K TCL cannot do that. So, I have to have a controller next to me at all times. Panthera Evo is essential for fighter fans The design of the EVO is similar to the original Panthera with a few exceptions. Firstly, there’s still the plastic exterior and metal base at the bottom, which has some anti-slip rubber strips. The original Panthera had two large rubber pads on the bottom instead of strips, but I find these work just as well on the EVO. The triple-headed snake trademark of Razer is one of the most recognized logos in the global gaming and esports communities. With a fan base that spans every continent, the company has designed and built the world’s largest gamer-focused ecosystem of hardware, software and services.

You now need to use most of those wires to connect the button inputs from the Razer pcb to the screwdowns on the Breakout. u/carpedro provided a very useful diagram of what each of the pins on the Razer pcb goes to: Diagram Razer’s software platform, with over 50 million users, includes Razer Synapse (an Internet of Things platform), Razer Chroma (a proprietary RGB lighting technology system), and Razer Cortex (a game optimizer and launcher). Now, you may notice that when you try to put the LED's on your buttons, they don't really... stay on them. This is where those tiny rubber bands come in! Then, daisy-chain your LED's and connect them to your Mini. Here is a great tutorial on how to do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKty1h_pj54

Razer Panthera EVO Review – ProFightStick

A significant change to the Panthera EVO is that it no longer has Sanwa buttons, instead, Razer has installed their own mechanical buttons, the same ones used in their keyboards. If you're confused on which way to plug in the harness into the Mini, just plug it in so that the empty pins are on the left side of the Mini, like This. You now need to get power to the Kaimana from the USB port. You'll notice that the USB wires are soldered/glued onto the board, and that there are five pins next to next to them. Take your remaining two jumper wires and plug them into the 1st and 4th pins going from top to bottom, like This. --- ALTERNATE VIEW

Removing the original Razer pushbuttons requires disconnecting the wires that are attached to the .110" terminals on each button. It is recommended that you do not attempt to pull with a wrench or your finger; the design of the button microswitch can easily bend and distort from the force, possibly damaging the button terminals. Instead, use needle-nose pliers to grasp the disconnects by their tabs (circled in green), then squeeze in and upward. If the tabs are pressed in correctly, the disconnect should lift with just a bit of effort. If you find much resistance, retry pinching the pliers around the tabs and squeeze again. In some instances, a button brand or model does not have a 24mm equivalent with art cap. In this case, we will cut to the default size of Sanwa 24mm insert. SAN FRANCISCO– Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today unveiled Razer Panthera Evo to further support the fighting game community and improve their line of high quality arcade-style controllers.

Unless properly calibrated to your printer and viewing environment, your monitor does not accurately represent the brightness of paper. Artwork submissions may need adjustment to ensure prints are not too dark. Please read this helpful support article for more information Once you're done, you should have a total of 9 wires connected between the pcb and the breakout, 8 on the bottom pins and 1 on one of the top pins. Panthera PCB Wiring --- Alternate View Now, this may be worrying to some players, especially to fans of Sanwa like myself. It’s clear that Razer may have done this as some kind of cost-cutting solution. So that means they’re bad, right? Not necessarily. You see, I think Razer’s buttons work quite well – at least most of the time. The new design is undergoing rigorous testing for optimal gaming performance and durability with the help from Team Razer’s world-class pro fighting game player, Xian Ho Kun and hardcore gamer and sports entertainment athlete, Kenny Omega. We cannot replicate this panel, so when servicing the unit upside down, we recommend that you place it on a soft cloth or towel as it tends to scuff easily on hard surfaces. Pushbutton manufacturers such as Sanwa, Seimitsu, Crown and GamerFinger have each produced specific models with a clear or translucent plastic cap and flat plunger. These are often used to display a graphical insert, allowing you to enhance the button's appearance. That said, each button manufacturer has designed the artwork cap with a different diameter than their competitors. For example, GamerFinger's artwork cap has a diameter that is slightly larger than Seimitsu or Sanwa. An insert cut for a Sanwa artwork cap will fit loosely when inserted into the GamerFinger artwork cap. This is an undesirable result that can produce a white or colored ring around the insert.
