I've found that the sillage here is split in two different times: at the very beginning (the 'Bingo!', moment) and lately when you assist at the performance of a deja-vu and it becomes quiet and really understating. Perfect for every day, work, even healthcare workers. This is something I wear when I go to the dentist, he is too nice to complain. also a tad too old fashioned perhaps... the velour powder puff association doesn't leave my head either. A brand new puff that still has the new car smell, smothered in various scented powders.

The warmth continues with only a hint of sweet, in the vanilla sugar powder and woods. Plus soft musk to further the powder theme.... The whole affair is very plush... Velour!

It was everything I wished for. All that original balmy smoky powdery drydown...it arrives faster and stays longer. Now, I kind of miss the opening of my previous one. I just might get it again and wear them together and have everything I want. They are worth it. It has a strong foundation of delicious vanilla and amber, which, combined with sandalwood, leather, and floral, is incredibly seductive. Warm amber and excellent, crisp Bergamot sandalwood. If you look at the top notes, it's a perfect mixture of peach gardenia and bergamot, which adds a fresh citrus note to the perfume, making it calming and attractive at first glance. It would be Prada Infusion d'homme. It was my 3rd fragrace I sniff that I fall in love after (YSL L'homme and Bvlgari Soir).

One hour in, the green notes subside and make space for a full powder brush scent. It's smooth and cool and well-balanced, without any sweetness. Present, but never in-your-face. At this stage, I mostly got iris and incense. Infusion d'Iris opens with a soft orange accord, more blossom than zest. The powdery iris is present from the start, adding a beautiful, soft undertone that defines this scent throughout. Galbanum adds a hint of hazy greenness, which always marries well with iris. The scent itself? It's a cool rush of green, powdery iris with a slight hint of muted neroli and a grounding of cedar. I love iris notes. This isn't exactly a 'true' iris note we have here, it's much more synthetic. It's not as pungent. Not as rounded. But the delivery is crisp and to me, immediately mood affecting. On a cold wintry day, the citrus notes are much more noticeable and a blustery wind will deliver a sharp, almost metallic, potent aura of the White Witch in The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. On a sweltering hot day where you already feel fetid and skanky, immediately after a shower, Infusion D'Iris acts like a refreshing cologne; it will soothe your febrile mind and make you feel brand new.

A Long-lasting Fragrance

My other favorite part is the incense and resin. Well the incense is totally missing, the whole composition is less resinous, and is a lot less powdery. 2015 is a whole lot smoother than the old version, that’s for sure. I do find it to be a tad greener, too, although there’s supposedly no galbanum, I feel like there is more cool smooth galbanum in 2015. It’s still resinous, but minus the incense and powder, the resin is also more smoothed out than before. But since all that other stuff is missing, I feel like 2015 is more floral, since iris isn’t competing with incense and powder and whatnot, and the iris note is complimented by a hint of white orange flower. A timeless, crystalline, dry, powdery, heaven. My all time favourite fragrance. I couldn't quite fathom that I could have found my signature scent but I did. There is not much else to say. This is pure heaven. Longevity is fair, I can get around 6 hours out of this but projection is very, very soft indeed. Lively enough for hot weather but almost dead if used in cold weather. I was expecting a slightly better performance from an eau de parfum (and it is labelled as an EdP), but still pretty much ok. In comparison, Infusion d'Homme was an EdT with better sillage and longevity. I wrote in my first review about a year ago that i bought a bottle of this in hopes it would satisfy my longing for the original infusion d iris edp, which at the time was hard to find and unbelievably pricey here in Oz, but since i was wanting the fresh soapy qualities of the origional, I found it was too dry, powdery and strong for me so i gave it to my mum.

Infusion d’Iris Cedre strictly follows Prada’s fragrance aesthetics, it is clean, cold and totally unisex. It opens with just a touch of piercing neroli, and goes straight to iris. This iris is Prada’s signature - cold, powdery, retro and slightly chemical. Not the iris we can encounter in Dior Homme. Woodsy notes of cedar give the slight masculine touch. The warmer benzoin gives this composition needed touch of human warmth, while the incense somehow stays cold and archaic. The overall composition is clean, unobtrusive and little bit retro. Like a retro soap or a bubble bath. I can smell north Italian roots of Prada company (Milan, but also Bologna or Venice). The post 2015 reformulation does have the cedar and iris, but is sweeter, less smokey and more fruity than woody. Personally I find the shape-shifting part of it mostly gone.Prada Infusion d’Iris was released in 2015, as a replacement for Infusion d’Homme which I used to wear. Personally, I still prefer Infusion d’Homme which was a little bit more masculine orientated, possibly due to enhanced smoky vetiver note. Infusion d’Iris Cedre is a tweaked predecessor to fit in a relaunched unisex Infusion line. The bottle... gorgeous, gold, stately dresser jewelry. The scent, luxurious and balmy and quite different from the original EDP and not a concentrate as one might assume.

Infusion D'iris is truly unisex and almost ageless. For teens and younger twens it might be too calm and subtle in its beauty. I don't mean to discriminate against anyone for their age, but I feel Infusion D'iris has an introvert, introspective aesthetic that might not appeal to most very young people. This being said, I think Infusion D'iris was made to be worn by men, women and everyone inbetween from 25 to eternity. I honestly can not imagine many people who could not wear this agewise, except for if they cannot identify with the fragrance profile which is sophisticated and conservative in the best meaning of the word.

How We Picked The Prada Infusion D'iris Dupe?

Okey, so the crux with this perfume is this: I grew up, and gained a sexuality. I became a sexy sexual vixen, at least in my mind. This perfume just isn't sexy, not that way. Its not unsexy in the slighest, it's just too damn modern and serious and contemporary and chic and austere to be slutty enough for me these days. It is indeed cool, with a certain not very obvious warmth hiding beneath the sharpness of the iris and the galbanum, vetiver and cedar. Expensive fragrances are tempting, and everyone wants to get a hold of one, but they are a burden if you are on a tight budget. She Wood is a simple woody floral scent. It's a bright, lovely unisex fragrance. Besides the masculine woody and aquatic elements, the floral notes unquestionably give it a feminine sense. I note that there is a distinct pattern of references between the way the 2007 and 2015 versions of this smell to the user. I am offering the solution I believe.
